How QZ works

Attach it at the batteryTwo leads: red to positive, black to a chassis ground. No CAN bus, no OBD, no wiring into the car. Installation takes about 10 minutes.

It reports over the mobile networkThe device sends its readings over 4G — SIM card and connectivity are included in the price. It works in an underground garage where at least some phone signal reaches, in another city, or in winter storage. No Bluetooth, no pairing, no walking to the car.

You get a plain-language verdictThe app (EN/DE/SK) tells you what is happening in human terms — for example, "battery needs charging before the weekend". A push notification arrives before the car fails to start.

A real case from our fleet

A Maserati in our fleet began showing a weakening battery — the voltage gradually fell to 11.98 V. QZ flagged it days in advance, and the owner replaced the battery before being stranded. One case is not a guarantee — but when a battery weakens gradually, QZ warns early — in this case, days in advance.

Common questions

Why not a €30 Bluetooth monitor?
A Bluetooth monitor works only within about 10 metres, and only when you open the app next to the car. QZ reports over the mobile network from anywhere — an underground garage, another city, winter storage. Pricing from €199 one-time includes the SIM card, connectivity and the first year of service.

Will installation affect my car or its warranty?
No. QZ connects exclusively at the battery — no CAN bus, no OBD, no wiring into the car. Warranty terms can vary by manufacturer and vehicle — QZ, however, does not touch the car's electronics. Installation takes about 10 minutes.

I park in an underground garage. Will it work?
QZ communicates over the mobile network, not Bluetooth. It reports from anywhere at least a weak phone signal reaches — underground garages included.

Won't QZ drain the battery itself?
In Storage mode QZ draws about 5.3 mA — roughly 1.5% of a 60 Ah AGM battery per week. It is designed for cars that sit for months at a time.
